Roles and ResponsibilitiesJ.D. Senior Solution Architect : Duties & Responsibilities:

• Understand the requirements, current state architecture of the enterprise and create roadmap for the future enhancements accordingly.

Create Software Architecture Document, High Level and Low Level Design document, Non functional requirements for the project.

• Define Integration Design and Security Design for the Web Services and Enterprise components involved.
• Participate in production of detailed functional design documents to match customer requirements.
• Participate in production of technical specification for development and integration requirements.
• Review design documents for services such as Service Design Document, Service physical Document and define Service SLAs in Non functional requirements.
• Collect and Provide estimates for the requirements.
• Engage with client architecture group.
• Collaborate with Capgeminis internal technology teams and contribute to various internal initiatives.

Mentor and train project team members on the Solution details for a smoother execution.Ensure quality deliverables. Skill, Experience & General information required:

• 15+ plus years of experience in defining solution architecture for large enterprise applications using Open Source products, Service Orchestration,

Knowledge of Web Technologies such as Java/OSGI, XSJS web framework, jTDS/RMI Protocols.Strong command on Java/Kafka concepts and current industry trends.

• Strong knowledge on design and integration patterns specially in applications involving Portals/SSO, legacy applications, B2B Applications, external partners using ESB.

Strong understanding of Object Oriented design methodologies and design patterns.

• Timely creation of appropriate technical artifacts e.g. Application Architecture, Solution Design Documents, etc.
• Interpersonal communication and organizational skills required to operate as a contributing member of virtual teams that deliver quality services.
• Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on service offerings and products provided by IT.
• Familiar with supporting peer teams and responsibilities such as infrastructure, operations, enterprise architecture, info security.

Experience working with multi-vendor, multi-culture, distributed offshore and onshore development teams in dynamic and complex environment.

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Infrastructure Solution Architect:Purpose of the RoleThe primary purpose of the role is to deliver Architecture and Designs to meet the business requirements of Wholesale IT.The Lead Infrastructure Architect will critically review and approve all designs for Wholesale IT, ensuring designs meet the Wholesale IT strategy and the overall enterprise infrastructure strategy.The team also contributes to the management & optimisation of the portfolio of infrastructure for each business unit, driving operational improvement & cost efficiencies.This role will support the Wholesale IT business projects and transformation programmes

• delivering new IT services, exploiting current infrastructure technologies
• migrating applications to IaaS / PaaS platforms on internal and external cloud.
• driving a greater utilization of virtualisation & lower cost storage
• migrating away from non-strategic technology platforms
• optimising data backup and retention policies
• reducing the number of end user devices.

Infrastructure Architectures broader focus is to:

• Investigate new infrastructure technologies to meet the Wholesale IT business requirements.
• Provide technical governance over the Products used in HSBC through the Technical Reference Model (TRM)
• Provide service governance of both existing and new technical non-functional service definitions maintained within an Infrastructure Service Catalogue
• Write and review Infrastructure Architecture Designs, approved by the Solutions Architecture Board (SAB)
• Manage relationships across HSBC IT Architecture, IT Infrastructure Delivery and Wholesale IT Application Development team areas on an on-going basis
• Keep up to date with business strategies & road maps; technology roadmaps and feeding wider business IT requirements into central infrastructure engineering and strategy teams
• Use knowledge of the business, applications and infrastructure to make pro-active recommendations where improvements can be made

The role focuses on both Architecture:

• Determine business requirement and influence solution towards Infrastructure future state model
• Gauge strategic impact to business function, impacted upstream and downstream services and subsequent technology footprint
• Ensure logical design contributes to technology objectives
• Examine potential demise opportunities and propose deployment options
• Consider service placement requirements

And Design:

• Delivering end to end technical infrastructure designs, ensuring Non-Functional Requirements are realised and validated
• Verify impact to adjacent services/systems and Validate deployment and support model
• Qualify technical acceptance of all components
• Review design and gain approval via Solutions Architecture Board
• Optimise commercials and approval
