Job Description

  • As a Batch-Application, Endevor & Scheduling Specialist you support a broad knowledge area, and will have the responsibility to develop and administers a framework for managing and improving the production batch, to use and support version management tooling and Printing Services. All direct related to our customers with daily based regular contacts and meetings.
  • The knowledge area in which we are looking for Specialists is Batch & Scheduling.
  • Contribution to development of new (releases of) applications, new hardware or system software
  • Creation and adaptation of production manuals
  • Creation and management of long term and/or complex production plans
  • Taking into production of new (releases of) applications
  • Installation & support CA-Endevor
  • Support customers on all Printing related services and needs
  • Customize CA-Endevor to reach customer requirements
  • Creation of implementation plans for Changes
  • Incident, Change and Problem handling cf. ITIL, CSDM
  • Judgement of the operational audit results
  • Pro-actively signaling of needed renewal or optimization
  • Take care of standardization/optimization management environment
  • Assist customers in using and optimise the applications
  • Documenting
  • Communication with customer & 3 rd level support
  • Escalation to 3rd level
  • You are part of stand-by pool
  • Participation/contribution to technical projects, migrations and standardizations
  • Knowledge of Job Control Language and TSO/ISPF
  • Knowledge of Rexx and Clist
  • Knowledge of Scheduler tooling Control-M, CA-Scheduler, CA-7, TWS)
  • Knowledge of Jobscan
  • Knowledge of Middleware products, related hard- and software, data communication and networks
  • Knowledge of Business applications
  • Knowledge of CA Endevor on Administrator level.
  • Knowledge of VPS Printing
  • Knowledge of CSDM used tooling SDM 12.9 and Service Now
  • University degree in Computer Science or related subject
  • More than 3 years of verifiable experience with mainframe operations and monitoring
  • At least 5-8 years of verifiable experience as IBM mainframe specialist (zSeries) on Batch Application Support & Scheduling, CA-Endevor en Middleware tooling en Printing
  • Ability to work well as a team member;
  • Customer behaviour is perfect, written and orally;
  • Methodical and disciplined approach to work;
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem solving capabilities;
  • Stress resistant in case of Major Incident- and/or emergency situations;
  • Good planning and organisational skills;
  • Very good communication abilities;
  • Ability to deal with multi-task issues;
  • Initiative and good learning abilities.
