Job Description

*Description:The senior manager position represents a head-office based role in medical affairs function, responsible for managing the peri-launch phase of heart-failure indication(s) for empagliflozin. The candidate will also manage a team of 4 medical advisors (field-based).Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring effective management of pre-launch, launch, and peri-launch phases of heart failure clinical development program for empagliflozin
  • Manage a team of 4 (field-based) medical advisors, and ensure effective execution of the planned strategic initiatives
  • Actively develop the therapy-area of heart failure, for maximizing the effectiveness of translating evidence to practice, and thus addressing the unmet need of optimizing patient-outcomes
  • Proactively work with the other teams within metabolic division, and the cross-functional teams, to ensure synergy in execution and effective delivery of requirements in a matrix environment
Requirements:
  • At-least 4-5 years of experience in medical affairs function, with ability to manage major medical assignments
  • Experience of working effectively in a cross-functional matrix environment, with preferable experience of managing a major peri-launch initiative
  • Ability to mentor, develop, and manage professionals with lesser experience in medical affairs function
