Job Description

    This role will be responsible for Infrastructure Storage and Backup Senior Operations (SME) as part of Production Management organization of 24*7*365, an organization that delivers highly secure, reliable, efficient technology operations services that are focused on the needs of all State Street business. Responsible for Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge and Configuration management for infrastructure platforms. This role will be responsible for the day to day governance of operations processes driving platform availability. In collaboration with the business, technology peers, and vendor partners, you will ensure that State Streets businesses have optimized services and operations, enabling greater availability, performance and reliability in the delivery of State Street products.What you will be responsible forAs Infrastructure Operations Storage and Backup Senior Engineer you willSME escalation point of contact for major incidents for storage and backup infrastructureTechnical bridge between Storage and Backup Operations team members including service providersInstitute and govern KRIs, KPIs and Metrics related for operational proceduresIncident, Change, Knowledge, and Problem Management accountabilityVendor Governance - SLA, Compliance Review, Contractual Commitment, Service Improvement, etc.24 x 7 x 365 incident escalations.Deep understanding of Hitachi, EMC, Pure (Block/Object) and NetApp (File/NAS) productsUnderstanding of IBM Spectrum Protect backup productsUnderstanding of Virtual Tape Libraries as well as Data DomainUnderstanding of emerging data protection and storage technologies (i.e Rubrik, Cohesity, Software Define Storage, Cloud technologies)Understanding of Open Systems platforms (AIX, Linux and Windows OS)Techincal skills on Backup and Storage Operations and ArchitecturesResiliency, Stability, and Continuous Service Improvement for storage and backup platformsCapacity & Lifecycle Management of storage and backup PlatformsResponsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to provide for more efficient Recovery processesStandardization - Platform, services, and processesDeveloping and maintaining best practices within the storage and backup infrastructureCollaborates with Service Delivery, Engineering, ITSM, Architecture, Application teams, Technology vendors, Security, Regulatory and Compliance, Application support and other infrastructure operations teams to operate resilient, and secure platforms at industry best standardsEducation & Preferred QualificationsB.S/M.S.Degree10+ years as L3 Production Support Storage and Backup EngineerNetApp, EMC, Hitachi, Pure, NFS/Block, Data Domain, TSM/Netbackup/Networker, Rubrik, Cohesity,Tape Libraries, AIX, Linux, VMWare, SolarisCertification Adminstration EMC, Hitachi, NetApp, Pure, TSM/Netbackup/Networker, RubrikUnderstanding of enterprise storage/SAN concepts (Block, File, Object/CAS, Data Protection)ITIL,
