Job Description

You will join the Global ESX Patching Lifecycle management team and leverage your knowledge of vSphere, NSX and vCF platforms.The right person for this role will have:

  • SME skilset in vSphere 7.0, VSAN and VCF
  • Experience with VMware NSX-T is a strong plus
  • Seven or more years experience in network engineering, software development, or systems engineering, constantly seeking to be an expert. You take pride in self-mastery and knowledge development
  • Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages: Python, JavaScript, PowerShell
  • Strong computing fundamentals
  • Strong networking background, with good knowledge of related protocols and technologies (e.g. BGP, VRF, MPLS, IP, TCP, UDP), as applied to a data center context
  • Strong communications, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with multiple teams, and both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency in service-level changes to a system and troubleshooting components with VMware vCF environments
  • Experience as a VMware ESXi system engineer in an Enterprise class environment
  • Experience in large-scale, dynamic, high-availability production environments
  • Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions
  • Build and drive adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patterns
