Job Description

As a VMware Engineer you will help to maintain the environment with updated patches and hygiene for the estate. You ll join a team of curious problem solvers with a diverse set of perspectives who are thinking big and taking risks. In this environment you ll take the lead on relevant projects, supported by an organization that provides the support and mentorship you need to learn and growYou will join the Global ESX Infrastructure Support team and leverage your knowledge of vSphere and vCF platforms and infrastructure automation to affect change.The right person for this role will have:

  • Experience with VMware, VCF.
  • Six or more years experience in VC, ESXi, VCF patching, firmware upgrades.
  • Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages: Python, JavaScript, PowerShell
  • Strong computing fundamentals
  • Strong communications, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with multiple teams, and both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency in service-level changes to a system and troubleshooting components with VMware vCF environments
  • Experience as a VMware ESXi system engineer in an Enterprise class environment
  • Experience in large-scale, dynamic, high-availability production environments
  • Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions
  • Build and drive adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patterns
  • Lead and participate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands
