Come join our Global Business Services (GBS) function that leverages our scale globally and strengthens and builds capabilities to fuel our growth We are seeking an Advanced Analyst responsible to Provide advanced analytics support for the Sector verticals within the Insights Services Hub as part of the broader Global Transformational agenda. Accelerate PepsiCo business growth by developing custom descriptive analytics approaches to drive deeper understanding of business performance drivers and developing/enhancing statistical models to address key business questions: Growth Driver Modeling/Marketing Mix Modeling, pricing, assortment, market structure, innovation forecasting, drivers analyses, category growth forecasts, etc. This role will based in Hyderabad, India and reports to Sector Team Leader

Qualifications/Requirements

Functional Responsibilities

  • Execute deep descriptive analytics of business performance and drivers to supplement standard reporting and inform data-driven decisions
  • Identify, assess, and visualize key market share drivers for PepsiCos Categories, as a growth catalyst to prioritize and enable brand planning across portfolio
  • Lead optimal portfolio definition for each distribution channel and Its embedment in Mix management process
  • Advise and share Advanced Analytics models and best practices within PepsiCo Regions to leverage and build Advanced Analytics capability.
  • Execute brand and portfolio level media and marketing mix analyses and model PEP brand/portfolio performance based on marketing plans, MMM, and internal targets to provide optimization recommendations
  • Forecast market growth on an annual basis to inform PEP s long-term expectations for growth
  • Forecast new initiative expectations based on a variety of inputs (proposition, consumer response, and marketing plans) to qualify innovation
  • Provide strategic portfolio and initiative pricing recommendations based on robust analysis of external data and internal financial data
  • Execute market structure analyses to inform marketing and innovation strategies
  • Provide responses to ad-hoc follow-ups when double-click required with tables/charts for relevant data
  • Support relationships with the key end-user stakeholders via Market & Sector Team Leaders (and directly if required)
  • Own flawless execution of analytics exercises
  • High stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to challenge requests in a constructive way that does not damage relationships or slow progress
  • Depth and breadth of syndicated data analytics and statistical modeling
  • Complete understanding of internal & external data sources that could contribute to analytics roles across hubs
  • Experience leading model development, scaling, and deploying across markets for sustained usage and impact
  • Very strong analytical thinking with proven ability to connect data & insight from category consumption, brands drivers, macro & micro trends, and future forces of consumer change and deliver clear implications for the business
  • Other European or Asian language fluency
  • An experienced analytics profession in a leading consumer goods company. 4 years+ experience
  • Education: MA/PhD in economics, sociology, math, statistics, marketing or management
  • High degree of familiarity with CPG and Food & Beverage industry data sources, including Nielsen/IRi (POS and HH panel), GlobalData, Kantar Worldpanel, etc.
  • Deep understanding of CPG industry business performance outputs and causal measures, their relationships, and how to address business questions in robust way that translates to simple outputs
  • Experience with Agile development methods, Tableau, Business Objects, D3 open source visualization, SQL, R and SPSS desired
  • Experience in statistical models development (Probabilistic graphical models, marketing Mix Models, Market Basket Analysis, Cannibalization Models, Share of Market Forecast Models, General and Bayesian Regressions). Database management and programming capabilities.
