Basic Purpose of Job:State Street Corporation is the worlds leading provider of financial services to institutional investors, including investment servicing, investment management and investment research and trading. State Street operates in more than 100 geographic markets worldwide, with over $28.8 trillion in assets under custody and administration and over $2.5 trillion in assets under management at December 31, 2016.The Share of Wallet Emerging Lead will be part of a recently added function at State Street supporting both the FP&A/Finance team and the Global Strategy team, in addition to Sector Solutions and other client-facing business units. In this role you will provide broad analytical work across many different client groups and lead various data configuration and data quality projects. At the direction of the VP of Share of Wallet Team, you will collaborate with various internal constituents in advancing State Street s strategic understanding of its clients, including:The successful candidate should be comfortable interfacing and presenting to senior and executive management, both within the finance team and operations.Responsibilities & Tasks Include:

• Understanding client s share of wallet and the revenue potential, and support sales in revenue improvement strategies via analytical innovation;
• Gaining competitive intelligence and incorporate into State Street s commercial agenda;
• Supporting Corporate Finance, Sector Solutions, Strategy, and business units in driving day-to-day performance transparency.
• Collects and reviews business metrics by client, products, product categories and business units.
• Work closely with Client Analytics team members to provide requested analysis, reports, and metrics
• Participate in various analytics modeling efforts as needed
• Document analytical approaches/analyses via Process/Desk Guides.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to senior management through effective oral and written communication
• Communicates with business units throughout the company to collect information for Share of Wallet management reporting and analyses
• Analyzes and validates prototype, ad hoc, and periodic reports for accuracy

Job Requirements:Education and Experience:

• Bachelor s with 3 5 years relevant experience or Master s with min 2-3 years of experience ideally covering multiple of the following:
• Preparation and analysis of Financial data
• Financial services industry experience is preferred
• Experience with gathering, preparation, and consolidation and summary of fiscal data, including revenue, expense, etc for multi-national companies
• Experience in visual analytics and database concepts is preferred
• Multi-dimensional profitability (business, product, client)
• Analysis and reporting of insights

Skills/ Knowledge:

• Ability to execute and drive results with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work confidently and build strong relationships.
• Team player and self-starter, must be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Basic market research concepts along with experience in using primary research tools like Morningstar, DnB, Thomson, OneSource, NYSE, SEC filings, etc
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio), advanced levels of excel (pivot tables, formulas, basic macros, excel workbook maintenance best practices)
• Basic understanding of RDBMS concepts along with integration & data modeling concepts
• Working knowledge of SQL, should be able to execute and trouble shoot queries
• Good understanding on visualization concepts, should have used Tableau or a viz tool for dashboarding
• Basic knowledge on R or Python will be a value add
• Pride of ownership with the ability to drive results within the Business
• Must possess strong communication skills with ability to participate in or lead conference calls and present financial results to financial and non-financial audiences at various levels of seniority
• Solid business knowledge as it relates to the financial services industry
• Knowledge of Hyperion Profitability Cost Management,Hyperion Essbase, Salesforce 360 all advantageous.
• Good understanding of statistical concepts will be a value add
