Job Description

Job Summary

As a Manager, you are responsible for planning and to provide a capital optimization solution. You will develop and lead interpersonal capability: lead and plan organizational resources, communicate job expectations and changes, lead employee performance, and promote teamwork. Your job scope will cover handling NOC and Network Engineering teams.

Job Description

  • Lead a team of talented network engineers and drive improvements in key operations performance indicators.
  • Lead team members using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning.
  • Identify metrics and KPIs to measure NOC performance to provide periodic reporting to the management team.
  • Collaborate with leadership across various disciplines, initiates and influences relationships with and between key stakeholders involved; act as a point of contact for stakeholders.
  • Drive service improvements through continuous process, people and tools development.
  • Handle network and customer escalations and drive problem resolution.
  • Maintain a service- oriented environment focused on problem prediction, detection and resolution
  • Aid NOC Engineers as an escalation point and as an information resource and drive outage bridges to resolution.
  • Drive operational excellence and maintain the health of NOC processes.
  • Coordinate with engineering on new projects and operationalize them in NOC
  • Provide supervision to the NOC staff.
  • Engage and supervise contractor support personnel in the operational tasks.
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding updates to equipment and the equipment lifecycle.
  • Help build monitoring systems that meet the needs of the sites and Operations teams
  • Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and business units for upgrades of services and systems.
  • Optimize performance of existing and new equipment.
  • Provide formal corporate communications on directional changes or changes that will impact existing services.
  • Educate business units on the feasibility and limitations of the technologies in the environment.
  • Communicate and collaborate with peer groups (enterprise architects, security team, server team, etc.).
What you will need to be successful Relevant work experience of more than 12 years
  • A bachelors degree in computer science or an equivalent degree/work-experience
    • Excellent understanding of Switching and Routing technologies
  • Hand-on project management experience in leading enterprise level network implementation
    • Knowledge and exposure to enterprise network infrastructure and operations
  • Excellent people management skills
