Job Description

    5+ years of hands-on experience in setting up dashboards and monitoring in different logging and monitoring tools.
    • The tools support engineer should showcase the ability to conduct research and map the production infrastructure related issues (Network, CPU, Memory, JVM/Server health etc.) to meaningful actionable alerts with appropriate severity for support teams consumption.
    • The tools support engineer should showcase the ability/prior experience to work closely with engineering development and production support teams to help set meaningful dashboards and actionable alerts based on different data-based thresholds.
    • Well versed in tools like ELK/Kibana, AppDynamics, Dynatrace.
    Job duties
    • Look at metrics published by the app (requests/min, Orders/Hours etc.) and build reports/views etc.
    • Set up new alerts for catch system/performance degradation of Server/JVM health.
    • Set up new alerts/watchers for catch data flow issues (say feed flow not happening between two systems in last X hours based on app/event log monitoring)
    • Build dashboards to show major functionalities status as well as comparative trend (Week on Week or Year on Year trending)
    • Refine the existing alerts, monitoring alerts.
    • Build funnel view using different tools (using application/interface/event logs and database SQL lookups through dashboarding tools)
    • Work closely with production support team to have required alerts prior or post a production release.
