To report for duty at least a few minutes advance of the start.4.1 To empty the Rena clean from the blood tubing and dialyzer and wash it with normal saline using Dialysis machine. (The process is called priming).4.2 To check if the machine is working properly and also the maintain machine checklist like as venous, maintaining time, temperature, conductivity, Ain Director, Heparin pump.4.3 To do all the preliminary checking inpatient side before starting the dialysis which includes checking the weight, BP while lying down and while standing and checking the temperature of the patient.4.4 To insert two needles into the vein in the A.V Fistula hand.4.5 To secure the needle properly in the place to avoid movement.4.6 To assist the other Junior Technicians in starting the dialysis procedure by giving all the necessary things which include the instruments and heparin, motor lines etc.4.7 To check for blood investigation serology for new patient and routine patient to check if Dialysis package in ever month.4.8 To start the dialysis procedure and watch for unusual or unfavorable reactions if any.4.9 To supervise the condition of the patient in the course of procedure by recording the B.P, and all the machine conditions like blood flow, venous pressure, Article pressure, Heparin infusions etc. To check for blood investigations in the course of procedure if necessary.4.10 To check proper patient, UHID Number, Side and inter dialectic weight gain.4.11 To inform the patient of the kinds of uneasiness that he could encounter in the course of procedure.4.12 To terminate the dialysis procedure by removing the needles and the blood lines from the patient.4.13 To send the patient back to the respective ward or to their home after checking B.P, Temperature and Weight.4.14 To make the necessary preparations for the dialysis procedure which includes washing the catheter with Heparin, securing the A.V Shunt A.V fistula.4.15 To wash the dialyser with water and Hydrogen Peroxide and prepare it for re- use.4.16 To ensure BP monitoring, complication of dialysis etc.4.17 To perform variations pertaining to peritoneal dialysis:To clear the machines and maintain it everyday in order to keep it in good working condition.To adopt Preventive Maintenance on Sundays.To give backwash to the filters and remove all dust particles.To sterilize the pump lines with Formalin at least once in a month.To do the Plasma Exchange whenever necessary by removing the Plasma and infusing the same amount of Plasma or albumin into the vein.4.7 Departmental specific quality & patient safety indicators.4.8 Participate in departmental specific quality improvement.4.9 Follow correct procedure for patient identification and communication of patient information following SBAR.4.10 To have appropriate knowledge in correct use and maintenance ofBiomedical equipment in the work area.4.11 To provide all infection control practices including device related care,isolation precautions and proper wards segregation.4.18 Not authorized to prescribe or administer any medicine.4.19 Medication if any should be handled by nursing staff.,
