Job Description

    Main Purpose: To provide qualified Network SME support for the Region to all applicable backend teams as well as the Regional Business Units. The incumbent will use their broad knowledge of IT Network systems and technical acumen to drive rapid vendor resolution of issues in a timely manner, ensure correct and active engagement of the appropriate teams as required. Network Analytics & Intelligence will be applied to identify area s for improvement, and provide clear, concise and transparent information regarding the integrity of the Network environment for the Region. Other duties as advised by the Regional Network Operations Lead including but not limited to Problem ticket analysisresolution, baseline Change diligence, Service Improvement Management and reporting. Accountabilities: Responding to Operational tickets in a timely manner, escalating prior to any breaches, ensuring all Operational Network SLA metrics are met for the Region. Drives Root Cause investigation for Regional based Network Problems in ESSA. Ensuring Outcomes are captured and incorporated into the relevant tracking tools. Ensures Technical Change diligence for all Regional Network changes. Challenging the solution for impact risks and operational compatibility to ensure operational support and stability are assured post implementation. Collaborates with All IT Functions and the Business to ensure outage windows are coordinated and approved rapidly. Utilize analytics tools to build effective reports to assist with Network stability, performance assessments and Configuration Item management. Facilitates continuous improvement processes to effectively identify improvement opportunities, ensuring issues and risks are identified, tracked and closed Years of Experience: 5+ years network support including Cisco and Aruba technology 3+ years ITIL support environment 2+ years network analytics and reporting Mandatory Technical Skills: Strong Technical knowledge covering Cisco and Aruba OS Operational support and design experience of network routing, wireless technologies and SD-WAN Proven ability to manage the Incident, Problem, Change, Release and Configuration processes end to end and through vendors Facilitates continuous improvement processes to effectively identify improvement opportunities Strong capability to utilise automation and analytics to provide insight into operational stability and areas of improvement Mandatory non-technical skills: Strong collaborative capability to work constructively within all areas of IT and Business to provide comprehensive and robust service A systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to all work undertaken. Demonstrates effective oral and written communication ability covering all routine activity and contacts. Expresses difficult or ambiguous ideas logically and clearly to individuals or groups, providing adequate context Differentiating competencies required: Strong stakeholder management skills Ability to deal with Ambiguity in a manner which enables progression. Translates and communicates technical information so that it can be clearly understood by those outside of discipline.
