Job Description

    • Design, code, test, and deliver software to automate manual operational work
    • Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems and ensure permanent closure of incidents
    • Engage with development team throughout the life cycle to help develop software for reliability and scale, ensuring minimal refactoring or changes
    • Identify application patterns and analytics in support of better service level objectives
    • Design self-healing and resiliency patterns. Design performance tests, identify bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization and capacity demands, and present solutions for continuous improvements
    • Design best in class monitoring frameworks to accomplish end-to-end flow monitoring and noiseless alerting. Design automated software and product upgrades, change management, and release management solutions
    • Participate in the support coverage including weekends as needed, Coach or manage teams as applicable
    Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
    • Bachelor s degree or equivalent with minimum of 10+ years of applied experience
    • Strong AWS Skills Strong Cloud Engineering Experience
    • Strong Infrastructure / Platform skills and ability to write Advanced SQL Queries with tools like SQL Developer
    • Experience with programming language ex. Python, Java, and scripting language
    • Experience in handling critical application outages in an large scale operations & driving root cause analysis and remediation
    • Experience with instrumentation, monitoring, alerting and responding - relative to performance and availability of application, using tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus etc.
    • Experience with Jenkins, GIT and CI/CD pipelines and experience with Enterprise Databases (e.g. Oracle)
    Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
    • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
