As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Chief Technology Office team, you play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering cutting-edge technology products securely and at scale. Your contributions are instrumental in driving critical technology solutions that support the firms business objectives across various technical areas.**Key Responsibilities:**- Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting by approaching challenges with innovative thinking.- Develop secure high-quality production code, review code from peers, and debug as necessary.- Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to enhance overall operational stability of software applications and systems.- Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical applicability.- Lead communities of practice within Software Engineering to promote the adoption of new technologies.- Foster a team culture that values diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.**Qualifications Required:**- Formal training or certification in Software engineering concepts with a minimum of 5 years of practical experience.- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java or Python.- Knowledge of Cloud Technologies like AWS, Azure, or GCP.- Familiarity with Terraform and other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery practices.- Sound understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.**Preferred Qualifications:**- Proficiency in Observability tooling like Dynatrace, DataDog, or Splunk.- Demonstrated expertise in software applications, technical processes, and cloud-native environments.- Familiarity with agile methodologies including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.- Deep knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.- Hands-on experience with cloud-native development practices.
