Job Description

Role/Department Description:

The Performance Reporting Engineering group is currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer in our Hyderabad location . As one of the most senior members of the team, this individual would have responsibility for the technical design and mentoring and all aspects of our engineering through an agile development lifecycle, from development, to design reviews, to CI/CD, to cloud migration. You ll be part of a dynamic team that is focused on execution and delivery. The team is responsible for the development, enhancement and support of Reporting batching products, which allow clients to schedule and generate reports from various analytics applications. The role is for an Individual contributor role but your duties would involve mentoring the junior developers on the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Build client facing web portals and backend infrastructure
  • Own the development and deployment process
  • Build a culture of quality, performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Ensure high quality, reusable, and maintainable code
  • Perform code reviews and coach engineers on best practices
  • Ensure high stability of the product
  • Document product knowledge for other internal teams
  • Collaborate with other engineers and product developers in a Scrum Agile environment using Jira and Confluence
  • Work as part of a geographically diverse team
  • Give transparent and genuine feedback on regular basis
  • Estimate task sizes and regularly communicate progress in daily standups and biweekly Scrum meetings
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Strong experience with building APIs using NodeJs
  • Strong experience building single page applications
  • Experience with JavaScript , TypeScript , Vue.js , and Node.js
  • Experience with CSS and Sass
  • Experience with Git and GitHub based development
  • Experience building containerised applications on Heroku , AWS
  • Strong design experience with a good understanding of stability patterns
  • Experience building distributed applications
  • A desire to learn new technologies and best practices
  • Organised, self-directed, and resourceful with the ability to appropriately prioritise work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
DESIRED SKILLS
  • Experience with AngularJS is a plus
  • Experience with relational databases is a plus
  • Experience with C/C# is a plus
  • Experience with Terraform is a plus
