Job Description

    Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
    1. Knowledge & understanding of 2W functioning and involved components.
    2. Adequate experience of development of at least few vehicle components like Shock Absorber, Brake systems, Catalytic Converter, Exhaust Assembly, Lock Assembly, Oil Pump, Fuel Pump, Electronic Fuel Injection system, Brake Hoses, ABS unit, Speed Sensors, Temperature Sensors, etc.
    3. Knowledge of manufacturing processes used for manufacturing of components.
    4. Knowledge about Process selection, machine tonnage selection, machining processes & cycle time study etc.
    5. Basic knowledge of surface treatment processes such as painting, powder coating, plating etc.
    6. Good exposure to APQP Product Development Processes & PPAP. Knowledge on material grades available and suitability for applications, basic knowledge about Heat treatment processes and metallurgy.
    7. Good exposure to Supplier Evaluation tools, supplier audits, knowledge about QC tools and root cause analysis.
    8. Responsible for development of components with Supplier for new products as well as for alternate sourcing.
    9. Responsible for suppliers manufacturing process validation, Capacity planning, benchmarking, Tracking of development progress, etc
    Experience 10 -12 years Industry Preferred OEM, Tier 1 Suppliers Qualifications Graduate in Engineering General Requirements
    1. Must be able to work well in a Team & have experience of working in CFTs.
    2. Demonstrate inter-personal skills to manage internal and external stake holders.
    3. Must have good linguistic skills in English. Any local or foreign languages will be a plus (French / Chinese preferred).
    4. Experience of working with overseas suppliers / customers will be preferred.
    5. Should have Persuasive and positive outlook.
    6. Should have an ability to challenge and Influence.
    7. Should be able to analyse problem and drive for results.
