Job Description

    Role Summary/Purpose:As a Manager in CRI, the candidate would be the primary analytical resource to provide CRI Monitoring and analytical support across all platforms. Provide CRI reporting and analysis for assigned or multiple portfolios with primary accountability for identifying and managing consumer credit risk, across all components of the cardholder life-cycle through data gathering and analytics. Support and interact with client teams, and work cross functionally with key stakeholders of Synchrony Financial.Responsibilities:Identify the key trends associated with Portfolios using advanced analytics and help the business to update/develop/deploy necessary strategies to mitigate credit losses.Work on multiple projects simultaneously and has to Manage projects independently.Produce and deliver monthly CRI reports.Key point of contact for identifying changes required for surveillance reports run by Operations team for Manual Underwriting when CRI strategy changes are implemented.Support tracking and reporting of strategy changes including preliminary analysis of the performance of the different strategies.Partner with various stakeholders to understand analytic needs and provide insight and recommendations to support portfolio growth and loss mitigation.Facilitate Lessons Learned session at close of each project. Follow through on action items to ensure Best Practices are incorporated into future projects.Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.Qualification / Requirements:Bachelors degree in any disciplineMinimum 5+ years in a consumer and/or commercial Credit/Risk, or Analytics role.Minimum 5+ years of strong working experience with SAS/SQL, Excel, and other related analytic tools.Strong communication and presentation skills.Strong proficiency in data analysis.Strong analytical skills, highly comfortable working in a quantitative environment.Ability to accurately condense large amounts of information and present in a simple, definite manner to senior level management and clients.For Internal Applicants: Understand the criteria or mandatory skills required for the role, before applying.Inform your Manager or HRM before applying for any role on Workday.Ensure that your Professional Profile is updated (fields such as Education, Prior experience, Other skills) and it is mandatory to upload your updated resume (Word or PDF format)Must not be any corrective action plan (First Formal/Final Formal, PIP)Employees who have completed 18 months in the organization and 12 months in current role and level are only eligible.Level 8 and Level 9 employees can apply.Shift timings: 2PM 11PM ISTDesirable:Knowledge on Any Analytical tools viz., SAS, R and TableauKnowledge on SQL, UNIX and oracle databaseExperience operating as part of a cross functional team.Knowledge of US, Canadian credit bureau data.Systems Implementation experience.Familiarity with consumer lending products and practices.Work experience in a US financial institution or bank.Grade/ Level: 09Job Family Group:Risk Management,
