Job Description

Role Summary/Purpose:The selected candidate will be part of Operational risk data Governance team (2nd Line of Defense) rolling up to Synchrony India. The candidate will be responsible delivering projects end to end with utmost quality. This individual will provide ongoing management of the Internal loss data/External loss Program, including but not limited to: reporting, testing to ensure data quality as well as compliance to policy and procedures, reconciliation of Internal loss data to financials and other source systems, and continued process improvement. The position entails working closely with all business functions, ensuring that losses have been identified and accurately capturedEssential Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Functional Loss Coordinators, Finance, Legal, Operations, Marketing, Corporate Insurance, Fraud and Risk Oversight to size loss data and escalate accordingly
  • Oversee loss data entry to the ILD system (eGRC), including quality control testing
  • Work with the ILD team to recommend eGRC system enhancements for the ILD module and assist with testing of those enhancements
  • Maintain the Internal Loss Data (ILD) and External Loss Data (ELD) Procedures and oversee compliance with those procedures
  • Lead efficient processes to optimize the capture and reporting of ILD for Synchrony
  • Ensure high level of loss data report quality by ensuring a robust report and data validation process. Assist with periodic validations.
  • Manage the loss data consortium reporting (ORX)
  • Provide loss reporting to key stakeholders as needed.
  • Perform additional duties/projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor s degree with 4 years of experience in financial services or banking industry
  • 2 years of advanced MS Excel experience, Tableau or advanced data analytic tools and techniques
