Job Description

  • The Manager will be responsible for overseeing a team of Analysts, Sr Analysts and Lead Analysts that handle sales reporting and analytical reports. The Manager will also be working on some of the sales reporting and analytical reports in essence; it will be a coach-player role.
  • From a leadership perspective, the Manager will partner with Country Heads and Senior Directors, Sales Director/ Admin, Senior sales management to design and develop new data insights based on country and regional needs and analytics while maintaining responsibility for daily productivity of direct reports. Through ongoing coaching, ensure that a high level of support is provided to internal customers throughout the region(s), business partners such as the Product Strategy Group, FTT and external customers such as financial advisors and back office contacts.
  • The Manager will coordinate and facilitate consistency within the team; develop staff and manage job performance; compensation decisions, optimize and design processes and procedures; support and implement change; and through communication, guide the department towards achieving company goals.
  • The Manager will help in designing a strategy to move the team towards not only delivering production and ad hoc reports, but also providing analytical reports to their customers.
  • The Manager will be a subject matter expert on the regions he/she will be supporting and will be required to display an excellent understanding of the Franklin Templeton sales process and products sold within IAS, including, but not limited to Retail Mutual Funds, Separate Accounts, Institutional, Global Financial Institutions; additionally, the Manager must remain flexible and open to new thinking and methodologies, must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and requires a results-oriented mindset.
  • The Manager will be responsible for building, strengthening and maintaining functional relationships between local India teams and their counterparts globally.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of an Manager- IBDG Optimization of Processes:
  • Establish, maintain and continuous support of countries and Business Unit objectives/initiatives.
  • As the subject matter expert on all countries supported, he / she will proactively provide data driven insights to the Senior Directors, Country Heads and other senior sales leaders and design processes therein.
  • Manage the teams and maintenance of productivity and quality standards.
  • Evaluate and justify staffing needs/requirements to ensure efficient servicing.
  • Design, communicate and implement new workflows and reports.
  • Develop and implement short term business strategies through dialogues, reports, analytics, etc.
  • Continually analyze current processes within the team and implement change management strategies to meet the needs of the business, as needed.
  • Work closely with Analytics staff and be the regional subject matter expert.
  • Work closely with Regional Sales support contact / Admin to understand needs of Sales teams and develop and enhance reports.
  • Liaising with others regions analytics teams within the company to identify synergies and best practices.
Staff Development & Administration:
  • Manage employees performance, evaluations and career development.
  • Ensure staff has training necessary to meet performance objectives.
  • Work with team to develop goals and provide consistent feedback on performance and progress.
  • Foster succession planning.
  • Promote cross-functionality of staff.
  • Ensure a formal training process exists and is updated as needed.
  • Provide support to employees on projects, tasks as needed.
  • Manage and maintain effective hiring and retention process.
  • Serve as a mentor/coach to team members by demonstrating success in leading other people to achieve desired results.
  • Become an expert in all aspects of the reporting and analytics role performed by the team.
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be Successful Business Development & Planning:
  • Leverage relationships and influence stakeholders to assist with region wide or country specific initiatives. Maintain a wide network of partners across organizations, business units, sites and employee levels to gain their perspectives.
  • Create business update materials using best judgement for use by senior sales management to present the regions key developments and accomplishments with business partners and management up to and including the FRI Board of Directors.
  • Where necessary manage cross functional teams in the implementation of CEEMEA / EMEA projects critical to the business.
  • Ensure high level of service to customers/business partners.
  • Communicate customer needs to staff.
  • Promote customer interaction through creating forums for teams to engage with customers.
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be Successful
  • MBA or equivalent university degree.
  • 10-15 years of experience with at least 8 years of people management experience.
