Manager- Infrastructure- It Operations with a global Education firm8 - 12 yearsHyderabad/SecunderabadEnsure high-functioning functioning infrastructure and network solutions across all data centres andsupport offices globallyProvide the vision and strategy for infrastructure services, leveraging IT trends that can create businessvalue consistent with the companys vision and expectationsUnderstand the specific hosting requirements of our government partners and work to ensure that oursoftware systems can be deployed and operate within those guidelines. This includes hosting incountries without data centres run by the major cloud players (AWS, Microsoft) and perhaps evenwithin a governments own data centre.Oversee infrastructure expenditures and ensure that the spend can be appropriately allocated todifferent countries and departmentsEstablish comprehensive infrastructure monitoring tools and processes; perform analysis that reflectsactual vs. planned variancesDevelop risk mitigation strategy and contingency plans, including disaster recovery and businesscontinuity policies and plans, and ensure their periodic verificationDocument the infrastructure needs of our support offices, define the strategy to deliver against thoseneeds, and work with local teams to ensure they are properly implemented. This includes networkconnectivity into and within the office, support for local PBX systems, building access, etc.Plan, initiate, and execute infrastructure upgrade projects (servers, databases, physical offices, SSL)Manage specialist vendors responsible for areas such as cloud infrastructure and databaseadministrationParticipate in the end-to-end DevOps automation effort with an infrastructure-as-code mindsetPartner with software teams to establish our next generation cloud platform and enable continuedinnovation - replacing Docker Swarm with Kubernetes, introducing Spark and SQL Server Big Dataplatform, and other things we havent thought of yet.What You Should Have8+ years of proven work experience with enterprise infrastructure projects5+ years of which should be hands on experience3+ years of which should include overseeing enterprise infrastructure projectsBachelors degree from an accredited college/universityStrong technical skills, including familiarity in areas such as cloud computing, containerisation, datastorage, and networkingPassion for quality and maintainability - a preference for automation over repeated manual interventionUnderstanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery requirements and solutionsNetworking, System Administration, NOC, or Help Desk management experience requiredExperience as a support specialist with the ability to act as frontline support for networking orinfrastructure related issuesDemonstrated experience in ITIL, ISO 20000 / ISO 27001 implementationsDemonstrated experience in developing cloud technology roadmaps and strategiesAptitude and desire to learn new technologiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills
