Job Description

Meet Our Team:

Sales Engineering group in the Pega Hyderabad office is part of global Sales Engineering group which consists of supporting teams across Americas, EMEA and APAC. We are responsible for developing and maintaining standard demos based on Pega technology and associated horizontal and vertical applications, and further customizing these to specific prospective customer requirements. Demo Engineering team is a highly dynamic team that is part of Sales Engineering group and is focused in building clearly differentiated and pixel perfect futuristic demos that can solve some of top business challenges our customers are facing. Demo Engineering drives the Demo Excellence initiative in Pega and builds a robust demo architecture and development best practices that ultimately lead to building world-class visionary demos.

In this role, you will drive the design and development of world class demos for prospective customers and partners by applying modern and cutting-edge technologies. This is your chance to support interesting customer use cases by providing your thought leadership to teams and also help influence the product roadmaps.

What Youll Do at Pega:

  • Own the demo excellence deliverables
  • Collaborate with Program management, Demo Principals and get the releases and deliverables prioritized
  • Work with Architect and the technical leads to arrive at high level estimates, challenges, risks and mitigation plan
  • Strategically plan the builds starting from build kick-off, resource allocation, execution plan through releasing the build
  • Frame lean processes that teams can adopt along with technical best practices while implementing the use cases
  • Ensure the designs align with the core products and are scalable
  • Work with Infra and Release teams and ensure smooth releases
  • Work in strict timeframes and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Have or develop an expert level understanding of PRPC tools and key development practices
  • Hire, engage and motivate, appraise and retain the best talent
  • Work as part of a collaborative team with mindful of good software development patterns and practices surrounded by fun loving talented engineers
  • Exhibit a commitment to continuous learning and development of team members
  • Manage stakeholders that include program management, product management and business leadership
  • Provide periodic status updates and circulate the reports to key stakeholders

Who You Are:

You are responsible for leading teams that build the world-class demos that help drive Pega s sales and differentiate our solutions from our competitors

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science or similar field experience
  • 10 - 15 years of experience in analysis, design and development of enterprise applications
  • Strong functional and domain expertise in one of the major industries including Financial services, Insurance, Telecommunications, Manufacturing, Healthcare and Public Sector
  • Experienced in J2EE (JSP, Servlets, Oracle and/or DB2 and MS/SQL)
  • Strong OO experience
  • Worked in an agile/scrum team environment
  • Good written and oral communication skill
  • Thought leader who suggests product and process improvements
