Manager, Transactional Finance, Global Business Transactions Center

Job Description

Role Overview:Amgens Research and Development (R&D) Business Operations organization is seeking a talented individual to join as a manager in Transactional Finance. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting end-to-end financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of supplier contracting processes within the Global Business Transactions Center (GBTC). Your key focus will be on resource and expense management, accounting for resources and expenses, data analytics, and maintaining strong financial and system acumen. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial operations and deliver for partners.Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the transactional finance team, managing escalations from internal and external partners.- Collaborate with senior management to align transactional finance operations with the organizations overall financial strategy and goals.- Execute financial transactions, including purchase order processing, invoice verification, payment processing, and resource and expense management using Anaplan, Ariba, or SAP software.- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.- Utilize Ariba or SAP software to manage master data, vendor information, and relevant financial data.- Collect and analyze financial data using Smartsheet, Tableau, Ariba, or SAP reports.- Collaborate with sourcing, accounts payable, and other teams to streamline financial processes.- Identify opportunities to improve transactional finance processes and lead initiatives for enhanced operational efficiency.- Offer guidance and support on Ariba or SAP functionalities and processes to team members or end-users.- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulations.Qualification Required:- Bachelors degree OR Associate degree and 2 years of related experience OR 4 years of related experience OR High school diploma / GED and 6 years of related experience.- Familiarity with research and clinical development in the biopharmaceutical industry.- Experience in finance, resource, and budget management.- Proficiency in analytics software and financial systems.- Intermediate Microsoft Office user.- Strong planning, project management, and communication skills.Additional Company Details:Amgens R&D Business Operations team is dedicated to addressing complex business challenges with exceptional people, tools, and processes.
