Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Technology or equivalent practical experience.
• 9 years of management consulting experience or 4 years of experience in operations or program management.
• 2 years of people management experience with a focus on hiring, mentoring and retaining talent.
• Experience with strategic programs that span multiple organizations that have a direct measurable business impact.

Preferred qualifications:

• MBA degree.
• Experience managing and improving Machine Learning (ML) based projects and a good understanding of ML lifecycle.
• Ability to work independently, complete projects from beginning to end and in a timely manner, and navigate and influence cross-team stakeholders.
• Ability to synthesize information and see the big picture while effectively managing details, craft and deliver executive presentations, and effectively operate with enthusiasm and flexibility in a fast paced, constantly evolving team environment.
• Understanding of how the Internet works economically, socially, and technically. Interest in innovation, technology and Google products.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Trust Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, youre a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. As a Trust and Safety Manager in Geo, youll lead a Global team, bringing in your thought leadership, to collaborate cross functionally with teams both within and outside of Trust and Safety to fight abuse on Google Maps. You will bring in a passion for abuse fighting, a focus on putting the user first and lead a high performing team to deliver excellent business results. You will partner with Engineering teams, Product Managers, Legal, Policy and Vendor Operations teams to drive operational performance and lower abuse rates. You will also enable effectiveness and efficiency by providing thought leadership, execution excellence and people management guidance to deliver cross-functional initiatives at scale.

We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

Responsibilities

• Deliver thought leadership and impact on abuse risk mitigation on Google Maps as part of the User Content and Engagement team and broader Trusted Content leadership teams.
• Lead and execute on multiple strategic bets for reducing abuse risks on the Geo product portfolio by working collaboratively and cross functionally (e.g. Product Areas, Engineering, Legal, Policy, etc.) to ensure coordination and alignment on objectives and key results.
• Structure and execute multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously by developing plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses and developing final recommendations.
• Understand challenges, trends, and perspectives that may influence enforcement strategy and operations; Identify problems and issues across organizations and create programs and processes to solve them proactively.
• Manage coach and mentor a global team of individual contributors to deliver exceptional business results.
