Come, transform with us.Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager/ Manager, Underwriting Operations (P&C)In this role, youll be responsible for managing teams and service level targets role for P&C Insurance Operations Business. Facilitating goal-level creation for the team in line with Business goals and works with team to ensure the goals are cascade to all associates.ResponsibilitiesManage teams of 30-40+ and service level targets. Providing guidance to direct reports. Monitor, analyses and report on trends in the key underwriting performance drivers. Leading weekly/monthly/quarterly discussions on operations with client UW and company stakeholders. Understanding of risks faced by the function and the controls in place to manage and mitigate the risks Ensuring clarity around priorities and goals for the entire functional area Ability to function effectively in a team environment exercising good judgment Working with senior management and other peers for strategy development and execution planning Guiding the talent identification and development processes for a function. Approving hiring and redeployment requests within his/her group Root Cause Analysis on escalations received Very good problem solving skills & attention to detail. Ability to accurately interpret and compile information from a variety of sources and systems Ability to function effectively in a team environment exercising good judgment Ability to meet outlined and expected standards of timeliness and accuracy in completion of work Skills: Effective communications and forecast planning with the onshore client team Ability to own report development effort with minimal supervision Problem solving; data related trouble-shooting such as identifying reconciliation variances, or determining cause of data anomalies Ability to interview users and understand requirements Expert in MS Excel & Data Reporting Be able to prioritize based on due dates and task demands Qualifications Minimum qualifications Any Graduate, with UW team leading span of experience for 50-70+ UW team as minimum Relevant experience in UK and Lloyd s Underwriting support function for P&C Insurance Industry (Lloyd s Underwriting Quote Log/ Policy Issuance/ Endorsements) Knowledge of Bureau/ Non-Bureau market Good understanding of London Insurance Market GB certified Proficient Underwriting market experience in BPO delivery Data analysis Skills - Proficient Communication - Good Written and spoken Communication Skills Fluent in English language - both Written and Oral Good knowledge of MS Office specifically MS Excel Preferred qualification Excellent communication skills with analytical mind set Must HaveExperience: Candidate with UK P&C insurance knowledge will be preferred Genpact is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion or belief, sex, age, national origin, citizenship status, marital status, military/veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical or mental disability or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws.
