Job Description

    What you will do
    • Drive the innovative development of new products through the design, verification, and validation portions of the Stage Gate New Product Development process, aligning with all design control requirements
    • Ensure product designs are innovative and meet all product requirements including product cost targets and regulatory requirements. Designs must facilitate large scale production and localization of manufacture
    • Work within a multi-functional team to evaluate new systems, components and materials for reliable functionality
    • Evaluate chemical and mechanical systems and subsystems applying the principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, control systems and material science
    • Analyze and perform quantitative assessment of designs
    • Prepare and approve product design test plans and reports
    How you will get hereEducation/Experience:Degree in a Chemistry field AND experience developing electromechanical products and instrumentation
    • Masters degree and five (5) years experience.
    • OR PhD and two (2) years experience.
    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
    • Shown success developing creative design solutions with a track record of successful product launches
    • Experience with UV-Vis-IR Spectroscopy and Instrumentation
    • Experience in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design of Experiments (DOE), & Data Analysis
    • Risk analysis, strong problem-solving skills; identifying root cause, and proposing alternative approaches and solutions
    • Excellent collaboration, communication, documentation and presentation skills
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Graduate degree in Physical Chemistry
