The NEXTracker - Data Scientist will be based in Hyderabad, India. This position is responsible for the creation of data insights, decision support solutions and actionable information. This work is technical and requires a high degree of knowledge in the manipulation, interpretation and visual representation of data. This position also requires the ability to administrate reporting, analytics, and business intelligence software, portals and repositories. Knowledge in analytical method, data manipulation, data visualization and software administration is critical. We are looking for someone who demonstrates Intense collaboration Passionate customer focus Thoughtful, fast, disciplined execution Tenacious commitment to continuous improvement Relentless drive to win Here is a glimpse of what you will do At least 3 + years of PV Performance Engineering experience Strong knowledge of Photovoltaic (PV) devices, system design, technology, and its performance characteristics Experienced with PVSyst, SAM, PV-LIB, and other PV software/models Experienced with handling large data sets, and analysis tools in Python & Matlab Proven ability to write technical reports Actively monitor performance, weather, and operations data from operating plants Review performance modeling & prediction results and compare with actuals Perform technical optimization analyses of project portfolio Work with engineering teams to identify key metrics for product health insights Industry Knowledge: Quickly gains industry knowledge to add to their ability to contribute to the success of the business and our customers. Here is some of what you will need (required) Experienced with PVSyst, SAM, PV-LIB, and other PV software/models Communication: Demonstrates professional oral/written communication and listening skills. Ensures that written documents meet defined standards and is able to facilitate medium group discussions that may include executive team members. Global Mentality: This position based in India is global in nature and will work in a supporting function for the world-wide footprint of the NEXTracker system. A successful candidate should be able to demonstrate their ability to work across boarders and time zones to ensure success and be able to have strong global communication skills.
