Job Description

The Cloud SC Governance & Transformation team, as a part of the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is an exciting and fast evolving group within Microsoft.This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team and influence the way one of the world s largest and fastest growing cloud environments is built and supported. As a critical part of the Governance and Transformation team within CMOF we are looking for a passionate, high energy data professional to help create sustainable advantage through supply chain data management, analysis, and governance. The SC Data Analyst will enforce & optimize data governance practices for consistent, secure and synchronized data availability throughout SC business functions in accordance with SC data policies while driving innovation through data and analytics and the promotion of an enterprise-wide data-driven work culture.

  • Custodian for SC data across business data domains, ensuring that the data is properly defined and used with a deep understanding of data governance principles and processes.
  • Drive compliance to established standards and metrics.
  • Communicate and enforce data policies, rules, and standards.
  • Perform data analysis, leveraging large data sets to develop insights & support data management decisions, track, monitor, and publish cross data quality reporting/scorecards.
  • Maintain the processes and procedures for Data Governance for the SC enterprise.
  • Drive issue resolution across different organization constituencies.
  • Ensure alignment of data quality activities to business and Data Governance strategies.
  • Provide guidance to project teams around metrics requirements and tracking to monitor data quality efforts.
  • Communicate effectively across stakeholder groups to define priorities, schedules and resources needed. Support and maintain dashboard creation for data integrity tracking.
  • Lead internal process improvements, create process documentation and bring different and new perspectives to solving problems.
  • Partner with Product Data Management Engineering, Sourcing, Supply Chain Ops & Planning groups to ensure accurate & timely maintenance of Product & SC data.
  • Monitor internal requests and establish standard processes to improve efficiencies and provide internal customer support.
  • Work independently to balance multiple tasks and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Effectively run cross-organizational meetings to lead teams to consensus and/or decisions to meet deliverables.
  • Provide clear, effective, and timely communications.
Maintain flexibility with regard to work hours to support worldwide communications as needed, Required QualificationsBachelor s degree in Supply Chain/IT operations, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent3+ years experience in SC/Product Data operations/management/analysisWorking design & development experience in Excel, data analytics & reporting tools incl. Power BIStrong written and oral communication, organization, and time-management skills with high attention to detailAnalytical aptitude while able to maintain a broader perspective, identifies and evaluates opportunities to enhance the business through cross-group collaboration.Desired QualificationsExperience with Product Lifecycle Management and Supply Chain Data Management systemsAbility to manage numerous competing priorities in a flexible and fast-paced environment Ability to successfully collaborate across multiple teams Capable of strong individual contribution and influence across non-direct reporting teams Problem solving capability with a calm demeanorAbility to maintain good judgment in fast-paced, high-stress environmentsCloud / high tech supply chain experience is a plus1.
