Responsibilities : Expected to spend 100% of the time on hands- on development , design and architecture. Capital Markets Projects experience preferred Work shift timings : 11 AM IST to 8 PM IST / 12 PM IST to 9 PM IST Serve as the modeler for data projects and initiatives , creating logical business models used to generate physical data models and database schema. Work closely with business and IT teams to clarify and refine functional data requirement specifications. Create effective data models to support both RDBMS and NoSQL based databases Translate detailed business requirements into optimal database and ETL solutions. Reviews project technical requirements , provides effort / cost estimates. Becomes technical lead for a project , designs process , manages and drives development work with consultants and associates. Addresses any requirements changes or project deliverable issues Extract , Transform and Load (ETL) design and development on multi- terabyte database environment. Define and deliver consistent ETL standards , methodologies , guidelines & techniques. Diagnose complex problems , including performance issues , and driving to resolution. Help in identifying long- term , strategic data needs for the enterprise , defining how the data is related to the business processes and developing a conceptual and functional model of the data Develop a strong understanding of Investment Banking Data. Assist in evaluating new technologies for future state of Data Warehouse. Skillset : 8 years of industry experience in data architecture environment. 5 years of experience in working as Solution / Data Architect. 3 years of experience with data warehouse development on a major RDBMS (Oracle , SQL server etc.). 3 year of experience with Hadoop stack - Java MapReduce , Hive , HBase , Spark , Sqoop , Zookeeper , Ambari and Impala. Experience in creating technical design and implementing ELT / ETL solutions Financial domain knowledge is a plus Extensive experience with SQL required including SQL query optimization.
