Come join us as we build an organization that scales with the challenges of creating new experiences and improving the existing ones.From home office to kitchen table to living room sofa, Microsoft Surface delivers the power to get it done, with hi-res touchscreens and Dolby Audio for music and programs, HD cameras to stay in touch, and the Windows you know.The Surface development team is seeking a talented Senior Engineering Leader, with a strong background in E2E development and shipping of consumer-focused personal computing devices.#DSQOResponsibilitiesThis is a Director of Engineering role, whose responsibilities will encompass leading multiple engineering teams to deliver software across multiple layers from firmware to Drivers to Applications on Microsoft Surface devices. The job is highly dynamic and involves working across various disciplines to successfully deliver premium products with the Surface experience and quality., Qualifications:
    • 20+ years of experience in software and/or product development
    • Proven track record of shipping high volume personal computing / consumer devices
    • Proven track record of leading and growing geographically diverse teams
    • BS in Engineering or equivalent experience
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple disciplines
    Additional Qualifications:
    • Experience with embedded system software development, especially at a system architectural level
    • Experience with Windows Driver Kit (WDK), Driver development
    • Enthusiastic, motivated and self-driven
    • High tolerance to ambiguity and ability make progress in the face of it
    • Some domestic and international travel will be necessary
