• Provide leadership in all phases of Software Test design and development of innovative products through technical planning, execution, test and evaluation.
• This position requires both hands on Software verification as well as technically leading team, innovating new products and test architectures, mentoring staff, establishing best in class software and product development practices, and meeting with medical professionals and administrators to better understand their needs and the conditions under which the products are used.

Job Responsibilities

• Expert in software engineering best practices for embedded software development, V&V.
• Interpret, understand and provide feedback on software requirements for a project. Perform requirement analysis to determine completeness and compliance with software system. Ability to work with requirement management tools.
• Hands-on Experience with FDA regulated (IEC 62304) Software Test Development required, 1SO 14971 risk management to medical devices, ISO 13485 quality management system, and Expert knowledge of FDA regulations strongly preferred.
• Process champion who provides vision and leadership in architecting the software test development

lifecycle for the product development organization overall.Pursues industry best practices and technology trends. Collaborates with industry thought leaders. Recognized as the organization s leader in applying new technology. Provides vision and assures the organization is an early adopter of industry innovations.

• Recognized as a technical leader of software test development methods for safety critical, fault tolerant real-time software, and current embedded system technologies.

Architects and implements automated solutions across all stages of Medical Device SDLC. In case of existing frameworks, should be able to analyze and enhance the existing frameworks.

• Experience in Test Framework designing / automation testing
• Expert in software engineering best practices for embedded software development, SW V&V.

• Skilled in leading cross-functional top-down and bottoms-up risk analysis sessions
• Experience in FMEAs for multiple disciplines: electrical, mechanical and software
• Demonstrated strong communicator, verbal and written, across all levels of the organization as well as cross functionally
• History of demonstrating ability to be an extensive multi-tasker, and problem solver with high energy levels and strong organizational abilities.
• Must be organized and attentive to details and must have strategic and tactical thinking.
• Must communicate effectively in English, both oral communications and written communications in English.
• History of problem solving, priority setting, customer focus, and driving for results.
• Provide software test engineering expertise in embedded products, evaluating and developing new software test strategies for advanced Surgical Innovation product platforms.
• Develop solid understanding of targeted therapies, disease states, clinical applications, and use conditions to provide optimal value to doctors, clinicians and hospital staff that use the products you develop.
• Collect, analyze, and model design inputs (voice of the customer, voice of the business, etc.) and transform them into high quality system test requirements.
• Ensure that products meet all FDA and international requirements for medical products.
• Establish and advocate for best practices and continuous improvement to mature the software engineering knowledge and processes to be an exemplary center of excellence.
• Participate in the identification and resolution of complex technical and project execution issues through strategic engagement of staff, contractors and subject matter experts in the field.
• Lead mentor and inspire software test development teams working on a wide range of technical challenges including GUIs, data collection, data security, cybersecurity, safety, reliability, risk, usability, device management, web-based applications, and wired and wireless communications.
• Review and monitor current state of the industry, ongoing research, and new technologies.
• Propose and champion new test strategies, sit on advisory boards, and be able to present complex ideas in simple terms to executives and other staff members.

Must Have Minimum Qualifications

• Masters or bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics and communications/computer science engineering with 10+ years of industry experience including 3+ years in Medical Device development is must
