Job Description

    Job Summary:The Principal Electrical Engineer role involves solving complex engineering challenges and selecting efficient, cost-effective solutions. This position applies advanced engineering techniques and serves as a technical consultant, providing supervision for projects, both large and small.Key Responsibilities:
    • Business Development:Support proposals, cost estimation, and build external relationships with customers and contractors.
    • Operations:Manage team resources, mentor staff, ensure compliance with safety and technical requirements, and assist in performance reviews.
    • Technical Competency:Oversee design practices, equipment standardization, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards. Extensive experience in HV, MV, LV electrical engineering in offshore oil & gas projects is required. Familiarity with HVDC, solar, and offshore wind is a plus.
    • Project Execution:Coordinate project planning, drive project quality, and support innovative solutions.
    • Deliverables:Develop engineering studies, provide solutions to technical issues, and oversee documentation.
    • Procurement & Site Support:Develop equipment/material specifications and provide on-site support when necessary.
    Qualifications:
    • Required:18 years in electrical engineering, strong understanding of industry regulations and standards, project cost estimation, and proposal writing.
    • Preferred:Experience in project leadership, HVDC, solar, or offshore wind projects. Familiarity with IEC, NEC, and IEEE electrical standards.
    The role involves team leadership, decision-making, and collaboration across disciplines while ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with HSE standards.
