Principal Product Manager - TechnicalPosting Location : Location Remote US MAPosting date 1 day ago(4/2/2021 5:59 AM)Job ID 82012 Job summary The Red Hat Application Services team is looking for a Principal Product Manager to help create the future of the Red Hat Integration solutions. In this role, you will focus on API life cycle management, key interfaces within the solution, and adjacent offerings like Red Hat OpenShift Service Mesh. This solution encompasses API management, application integration, event streaming and messaging. You ll be responsible for defining the offering roadmap and managing implementation through all phases of the life cycle of the offering. You ll need to be passionate about the power of APIs to connect apps, devices, and people and accelerate innovation. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business. Primary job responsibilities

  • Own the insight to current and future customer needs
  • Guide the offering roadmap for your area and review with external stakeholders and executive team
  • Collaborate closely with the Engineering team on translating the roadmap into solution release plans
  • Focus Engineering priorities during the release cycle based on market inputs in line with the strategy
  • Monitor competitors to position our strategy, anticipate market dynamics, and ensure solid differentiation in our messaging
  • Manage offering launch process; alpha, beta, release planning, and analyst briefings
  • Define solution-level messaging content and collaborate with the Product Marketing team to deliver web and sales collateral
  • Develop expertise and vision in your area and evangelize your solution and roadmap internally and externally
Required skills
  • Bachelors technical degree in computer science; MBA or Master s degree is a plus
  • Experience working as a product manager in software or in a leadership customer-facing engineering role
  • Experience related to APIs, API management, middleware, enterprise integration, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and enterprise service buses (ESBs)
  • Deep technical knowledge for a practical role to collaborate with engineering
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Flair for innovative product solutions
  • Collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Ability to be persuasive and take risks
  • Analytical and creative thinking skills
  • Willingness to travel 20%
  • Fluent language skills in English
