Job Description

The Principal Performance Engineer is responsible for developing Salesforce Service Cloud solutions. The developer will translate business requirements into functional solutions. The ability to execute strategic direction, as well as possessing significant depth of technical expertise in salesforce architecture, will be key skills for the positionKey Responsibilities:

  • Strong practical experience with HP Load Runner, Neoload. JMeter experience will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of CRM platforms like Salesforce.com, Oracle E-Business Suite would be an advantage
  • Strong architectural understand of Cloud hosted application
  • Experience with APM tools like New Relic, AppDynamics, DynaTrace, CA Wily Introscope, Riverbed is expected
  • Strong scripting/coding acumen with either Java, Javascript, Perl or Python
  • Good knowledge on Linux/Unix commands and shell scripting
  • Should spearhead analysis, monitoring and suggest recommendations to the stakeholders for Performance Improvements
  • Strong communication skills with experience in handling E2E Performance Testing Lifecycle and dealing with stakeholders
  • Should be able to perform under high stress situation as an individual contributor
  • Innovative & Creative thinker with client centric approach who can drive POCs and new idea implementation
  • Drives all aspects of IT Project, Program and Portfolio activity, including collaborating and coordinating across all IT and business segments
  • Ensure program delivered with quality and meet implementation date & criteria
  • Manages resources (i.e., capital requirements and human capital, etc.) to complete project/program on time and within budget
  • Keeps team and leadership updated on project status and risk factors
  • Responsible for the coordination of sprint delivery and production release with up to 10+ developers
  • Be extremely data driven and drive/track program execution and delivery excellence
  • Work with the engineering manager, product owners, architects, developers and SDETs to endure that the product is being delivered with quality on time and within budget
  • Work with internal IT teams to coordinate project interlocks and deployments
  • Responsible for multiple projects being implemented in parallel and sprint planning for these projects
  • Responsible for scrum and agile excellence
Essential Requirements:
  • 10 to 12 years of total software/IT engineering/Testing experience. Out of this at least 8+ Performance Engineering experience
  • 5 to 7 Years of experience with Neoload and Riverbed
  • Have depth and width of decision making maturity. Be able to gain trust & respect of engineering, dependent teams and stakeholders to deliver results
  • Ability to manage and influence team members without direct reporting authority
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment; work with minimal supervision while delivering on action items in a timely fashion
Desirable Requirements:
  • Java and .Net platform experience, essential to recommend performance tuning aspects
  • Database experience, essential to recommend SQL tuning techniques
  • Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM development methodologies and software development lifecycle principles.
