Eze Software Group is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer. The position will be located in Hyderabad and report to the local IT Director. Functionally, the position will be to part of the Server/Virtualization team, with other members of the team based in Boston, USA. Functional guidance and project work will come from the US.
The Principal Systems Engineer will work with others on the team to support the firm s production server infrastructure (physical, virtual and storage) responsible for its performance, reliability and maintainability. The team works regularly with development and business personnel to identify performance problems and assure the quality of service for our clients.
Windows server experience, strong troubleshooting skills and a proven track record of automating repetitive or iterative processes is required. Experience with Linux administration and automation would be strongly desired, as well as a background with cloud computing.
The successful candidate will be able to translate requirements (including already-configured systems) into a set of deployment and configuration processes that are robust and scalable. A background in development or software engineering would be helpful but is not required.
The Principal Systems Engineer will be operating in a time-sensitive environment, and strict change-control must be adhered to at all times. Occasional after-hours or weekend work will be required. We foster a collaborative environment where communication, documentation and teamwork are stressed.
Job Functions:
Administration, monitoring, and support of Windows Servers, SAN and Virtualization environments (EMC, VMWare, Hyper-V) Design, deploy, and implement server infrastructure and ensure a secure systems environment Participating in major system engineering related projects Providing 3rd tier support for internal or product-related technical issues Optimizing infrastructure environment by using new technologies, automation and new innovations.
Qualifications:
8-10 years of professional experience in Windows/Linux system administration and engineering Good experience on VMware Setup, Administration and troubleshooting PowerShell or other shell scripting experience Experience with Active Directory in a multi-site, multi-forest environment Experience with standardized orchestration and automation tools (i.e. Chef, Puppet, Ansible, PowerShell DSC) Experience with public or private cloud environments Knowledge of system clustering and high-availability
