DuPont licenses technologies to oil refiners worldwide and offers designs backed by several decades of experience as well as provides lifelong support for our customized products and services. The successful DuPont Clean Technologies Process Engineer candidate will be responsible for the development, design, and execution of multiple types of projects for both the STRATCO Alkylation technology and IsoTherming hydroprocessing technology. This includes performing process design calculations, developing simulations, PFDs, P&IDs, Plot Plans, MEBs, equipment sizing, etc. Projects range from new grassroots designs to revamping existing units in order to increase capacity or process alternate feeds. Other forms of projects will include studies and unit optimizations as well as full unit modelling using dynamic simulators. The process engineer will be able to execute projects as a member/leader of a design team and collaborate with other departments and locations to provide high quality deliverables on schedule at each phase of the project. The process engineer will receive guidance from experienced engineers, technology experts, and direct mentors but is also encouraged to provide creative solutions toward further increasing/improving DuPont s subject matter expertise, products and services provided, as well as internal procedures and tools. The process engineer is a customer facing role which includes travel domestically and internationally to attend kickoff meetings, drawing review meetings, HAZOP/SIL reviews at customer and/or EPC locations as well as provide support for unit startups, test runs, and operator training. With experience, the process engineer will present STRATCO and IsoTherming technologies at events and conferences to customers and other members of the industry. This position will be based at DuPont s technology center in Hyderabad, India., Minimum QualificationsBachelor s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university10 years of process design experience, preferably in the refining industryExperience with process design simulators such as Aspen HYSYSProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a team of engineers and across disciplinesAbility to communicate and collaborate across India and United States-based teams.Capability of presenting technical information with excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to travel approximately 10% of the time
