Department Name : Research Core PD PROCESS BRIEF The Product Development department is responsible for designing, implementing, and enhancing analytical reports and applications that serve all our FactSet clients. Within Product Development, the Partners Hyderabad Product Development team is responsible for Product Feature development and support, Contribution to Product Design, Critical Product Analysis and Product Documentation and Education.Product Analyst interacts with multiple groups at FactSet to analyze, develop, test, & support our desktop- based reports and applications. The position is perfect for a technically inclined candidate who enjoys working with financial data and has the ability to collaborate across multiple groups at FactSet.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Core Products Product Analyst will work on a variety of product development projects within the Core Products product suite. It is an entry level position within the Core Products - Product Development team. It includes the following responsibilities:Assist in quality assurance and product development for all assigned applications / projectsManual testing of new core functionality and fixes Definition and support of automation test targets Working with QA officers on creation and maintenance of test plans Performance testing to ensure the speed and efficiency of application calculations Support of all hands regression testing which accompany product releases Assist product owners in designing the tools and writing specs Identify recurring issues/ requests and make recommendations for feature enhancements Product Support assisting with client- facing questions about Core applications JOB REQUIREMENTS An undergraduate degree in computer science/ engineering/ finance (B.Com., B.Sc., BE/ B.Tech etc.)Preferably a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in Finance, User Experience and Software Development Life CycleAbility to complete daily tasks or projects in a timely and accurate mannerArticulate communicator, with excellent language skills both oral and writtenQuick learner; ability to apply skills and past experiences in new situationsStrong written and oral communication skillsTechnical skills: SQL, C, JavaScript and HTML etc.Experience with Microsoft ExcelPreferred Skills: Knowledge or experience with Enterprise software from FactSet, CapIQ, Thomson Reuters or Bloomberg (good to have) Knowledge on financials terms used in financial markets is highly desirableCareer Progression Path: Product Analyst - - > Senior Product Analyst - > Associate Product Specialist- > Product Specialist - > Product Specialist II - > Senior Product Specialist - > Associate Product Manager - > Product Manager - > Senior Product Manager,
