JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for managing the development, introduction and continual product management of products and customer facing services. Including managing relationships, the development and management of new products or service lines as well as product enhancements. Understand company and department objectives, translating goals into product management objectives, policies and procedures. Recognize business risks and trends that will impact the goals and make necessary adjustments to plans and resources to accommodate changing demands. Define product or service requirements by direct interaction with potential clients, sales staff, marketing, engineering and other sources. Define the market potential for the product. Eventually develop a business plan for the proposed product, with clear definition of the assumptions in the business model. Understand the competition and barriers to market. Work with engineering/ software development to develop the proposed product. Secure key clients as development partners to participate in the development cycle. Work with marketing communication and sales to define a product launch program. Assist in the definition of collateral materials and sales training materials.SUCCESS FACTORS: Effective Communication (Internal/ External) Ability to guide a team towards a singular goal. Find any excuse to talk to customers and prospects; to learn buying reasons, expectations and competition. Customer Shoes Ability to walk in the customers shoes; understand from their perspective, enhance their experience and delight them. Be the first to jump into the most minute of details, yet be able to keep the bigger picture in mind, focus on the result, track of the final objective.Qualifications: Excellent professional writing skills Minimum of five (5) years professional experience in product management in the IT industry Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering degree Diplomacy, decisiveness, problem solving skills with strong interpersonal skills Proven ability to multi- task and work independently to meet strict deadlines, while still being flexible to help in team environment Excellent communication skills; strong project management skills; ability to interact with multiple departments,
