Job Description

Product Manager Sports BackendPurpose of Role:As product manager in the Entain Sports/Trading and backend team you will lead varying product strategies to ensure our Backend platform features meet and further still exceeded our stakeholder expectations. You will define, communicate, and launch state of the art trading and sports betting products on our proprietary trading platform.Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the creation of a best in market sports experience
  • Report to Head of Trading Platform
  • You ll define varying concepts for new sports betting features, enhancements and functionalities fed from our product backlog
  • You ll work in an agile software development environment (SCRUM) remotely
  • You ll be continuously feed into business architecture, product operation, business performance and evolution
  • Contribute to projects within a complex environment
  • By collaborating closely with business operation units (e.g. Traders, Operations, Marketing etc) you drive the product into new spheres
  • Ability to use personal insight, analytics, customer viewing trends and habits to ensure continuous improvement of the product
  • A focus on key customer metrics and associated conversion/retention rates.
  • A/B test improvements to drive future enhancements.
  • Ability to ensure requirements are prioritised correctly and delivered
  • Involvement in B2B activities, post-merger integrations as well as negotiations with 3 rd party vendors
  • Define any processes that will need to be adopted because of any deliveries and ensure they are cascaded to relevant stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain excellent awareness of competitor activity and regulatory constraints within the marketplace to inform the business and guide and shape the Backend product backlog / roadmap
  • Develop and maintain open channels with both internal stake holders and external 3 rd parties, to ensure features / request are captured, prioritised, and communicated accordingly.Key Competencies and Experience:An Ideal candidate will have/be:
  • 3+ years experience in a Product / Product Management based role within a technology driven environment. Preferably within a Sportsbook
  • BSc or equivalent in Engineering, Sciences or Technology based background
  • Understanding of eGaming and experience in the gaming industry
  • Fan of sports in general and good grasp of the relationship between customers desired betting markets, sports rules and new betting opportunities
  • Experience in working on complex projects from inception through to delivery with SCRUM teams across International locations
  • Excellent communication skills (English) in both written and verbal format
  • The ability to work as an individual or within teams across multiple international locations
  • Experience working in a collaborative way with technical and data driven teams, ensuring capability of digesting information and cascading salient information
  • Highly organised and possess a structured approach to their work
  • Process driven with clear understanding of the importance of visibility
  • Proven experience in managing, liaising, and presenting to external or internal stakeholders
  • The ability to builds networks to achieve strategic goals.
  • Innovative thinking whilst anchored to clear objectives.
  • Excellent analytical skills and good level of requirements management
  • Able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to facilitate meetings and (technical) workshops efficiently.
