Job Description

  • Holds the problem space and owns the product vision
  • Evolve the product vision and align goals to value
  • Understands the clients business strategy and customer segments
  • Understands customer s needs, journey moments and test assumptions
  • Works with the team to ensure acceptance criteria is defined and facilitate estimation where needed
  • Collaborates with the team to agree on a definition of done and collective ownership
  • Understands outcomes and goals of the product / feature / service / experience
  • Backlog Prioritisation - epics / stories
  • Facilitates team activities: story mapping, prioritisation, estimation, roadmapping, product brainstorming and business model canvas
  • Develop Value Maps and Goals based Roadmap
  • Develop OKR, KPIs and associated Product metrics and use data-driven decision making
  • Defines MVP aligned to agreed customer / business outcome, adding features incrementally
  • Cross business stakeholder management
  • Works with the team to surface and address impediments
  • Balances tradeoffs among product value, design, and technological constraints
  • Align the team through vision, value, goals and customer needs - being able to neutralise individuals opinions through research findings and performance insights
  • Interfacing with enterprise leaders as an advocate of the experience and outcomes
  • Participates/Leads squad activities including but not limited to standups, playbacks, planning, workshops, investment board (capital ask & value reporting) & garage board (impediments)
  • Track and report on value realised and relevant journey/experience metrics
As Product Management Chapter Lead:
  • Development of Chapter Playbooks
  • Contribute and drive IBM Garage model maturity evolution
  • Distribution of Playbooks to Local Market Chapter Leads

  • Understands exponential technologies and associated practices, technology trends and their impacts to business and users.

  • Cross-industry experience in Product Ownership

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Recognised thought leadership in an industry, market or domain practice
  • Proven innovation through awards, patents or new IP
  • Experience in Financial Management of Products and/or Product Portfolios
  • Experience in negotiating, executing and managing to Contracts and Legal obligations
