Job Description

Job Purpose: -Invesco Technology (Infrastructure) is looking to hire a Principal who will be the focal point for the technology infrastructure operations team. Business as Usual (BAU) requirements include working with application support, engineering, global security, CXOs in the business, senior and executive leadership, leading most important initiatives and delivering tech service excellence.The individual is expected to be detail oriented, driven by data and analytics, capable of generating data for decision making, be innovative and continuously seeks to challenge and improve the status quo.Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Must be an able product owner and scrum team leader
  • Provide direction and vision to the development team and handhold them right from the requirement gathering phase till project delivery
  • Understand the business goal and add value to achieve the best return on investment
  • Establish relationships with assigned customers, help them with issues, and continually delight them with a positive, customer-centric demeanor
  • Be a customer advocate while gathering customer feedback and reporting requests to Product Management and Development
  • Develop and share standard methodologies with team members to continually improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of processes
  • Demonstrated competence in collecting and analyzing data, and developing appropriate conclusions and recommendations
  • Work closely within tech infra operations teams to implement and improve service delivery and inculcate service excellence
  • Find opportunity areas where process management and reengineering can significantly impact efficiency, quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Assess current processes, identify defects, areas of improvement, and to-be process design, assist in transition planning
  • Develop appropriate metrics, including key performance indicators (KPIs), critical success factors (CSFs), performance measures and process controls
  • Lead process owners, stakeholders and subject matter experts through the improvement process and lead expectations
  • Ability to empower team members, inspire change, and facilitate problem solving discussions
  • Evaluate the efficacy of process and tech risk management procedures that are currently in place
  • Determining internal audit scope and developing annual plans
  • Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
  • Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
  • Responsible for overseeing the achievement of larger organizational goals.
Work Experience / Knowledge:
  • 10+ years of combined IT work experience including infrastructure, systems, audit, IT service delivery and infrastructure architecture
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Sophisticated analytical and creative thinking skills
  • Overall eye for business with the ability to find the simplest, best path to solutions
  • Experience in business process modeling, as well as in process improvement methodologies and tools
  • Extensive experience in analyzing business processes
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Sound independent judgement
  • Proven partner management skills, understand and align partner expectations
  • Conflict Management, Escalation Management, Business Relationship Management
  • Ability to govern and strategizes at multiple levels within the organization to align and optimum technology experience for customers
  • Working in large / global corporate environments involving multiple businesses
  • Financial services highly desired
Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
  • Working knowledge and report generation from ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, PowerBI
  • Experience of working and leading Agile Squads, Scrum, Kanban
  • IT Service Management, Continuous Service Improvement, Service Strategy, Service Design
  • Understanding of tech infrastructure disciplines including servers, storage, virtualization, databases, network operations, cloud, MS Teams, Office365, software packaging, Autosys and datacenter
  • Advance understanding of BPMS, Service Matrix Management
  • Solid understanding of IT risk management processes, internal audit and external audits

  • Demonstrable ability to effectively communicate ideas and build consensus at all levels within the organization
  • Track record of success in planning and implementing large projects.

  • Possesses diplomacy and cooperative style necessary to interface effectively with all personalities and across functional disciplines.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all business and security issues including legal investigations, compliance, and HR data requests
Formal Education: -
  • A Bachelors or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field; or equivalent work experience
License / Registration / Certification: -
  • Six Sigma Green belt / Black belt, Certified Scrum Master, ITIL V3 / V4, PMP / Prince 2 would be advantageous
