General Job PurposeProduction Manager supports the management team and reports to the CTO. The Production Managers main function is to ensure efficient and timely production of services, within budget and to industry standard. The successful candidate will be able to plan, organize and control the branch needs while overseeing staffing requirements and will streamline processes for operational effectiveness.Makers Hive is looking for someone who can create effective policies and procedures to ensure our manufacturing department operates at peak efficiency. Were looking for an experienced Production Manager who doesnt mind putting in long hours and working with employees to constantly improve our output.Reporting to: CTO A. Major Responsibilities1. Production planning2. Production control3. Quality control4. Method analysis5. Inventory control B. Job Responsibilities:1. Manage and evaluate resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime2. Oversee the workforce in the manufacturing department3. Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines4. Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines5. Set ambitious production goals and communicate them to key personnel6. Provide motivation, support, and guidance to all employees7. Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior managementC. Job Duties;1. Establish and facilitate departmental procedures which in turn enhance the production and efficiency of the department., while supporting safety policies and procedures2. Implement, oversee, and control the production schedule3. Supervise, review and revise scheduling, if required4. Oversee and review time and attendance of staff, as well as vacation approvals5. Monitor and regulate staffing needs to ensure optimum staffing levels are supporting business demands6. Analyze production, quality control and budgetary outcome of projects7. Oversee consumable and equipment stock and tracking programs for increased financial effectiveness8. Implement cost control programs or procedures9. Oversee, monitor, and direct coordination and maintenance of equipment and warehouse10. Perform vendor site visits to ensure quality of service and budgetary compliance11. Collaborate with management for preparation of on-call schedule12. Coordinate after hours emergency crews and work as required13. Audit and review emergency paperwork and processes to ensure compliance14. Follow all internal policies and procedures in association with varying protocols for restoration work15. Audit and implement policies/procedures and production levels in the content processing department. This will also include warehousing/storage of all contents16. Audit all personnel uniform requirements and needs17. Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between departments for job completion18. Provide excellent customer service19. Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines20. Monitor and schedule orientation and other training for new and existing employees in conjunction with Health and Safety21. Ensure attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other peoples property and information22. Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment23. Comply with all MHI policies and procedures24. Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may or are affecting completion of the job to the appropriate personEducation/Experience1. Experience in manufacturing operations2. 5+ years experience in a supervisory capacity and leadership roles3. Bachelors degree required4. Excellent project management skills5. Experience in creating procedures and monitoring product servicing activities6. Experience in production and quality control as per ISO 134857. Decent understanding of medical device manufacturing processes8. Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safety9. Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group10. Knowledge of project management principles and practices11. Knowledge of business and management principles and practices12. Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles, and practices13. Ability to work within a team or independently as needed14. Strong written and verbal communication skills15. Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment16. Willing to work evenings, on call and weekends when requested17. Periodic travel may be required
