Job Description

  • Leads the preparation of a professional program definition and plan based on achieving desired customer outcome/requirements/Benefits, and ensures that all deliverables have clearly defined acceptance criteria and testing methods.
  • Manages the agreed programs budget, ensuring that financial impact due to program activities is clearly visible. Leads the establishment of the change control processes for each project against agreed baseline plans and ensures it is maintained.
  • Acts as an influencing partner at top executive level in agreeing a programs scope that balances Fujitsus interests and customers requirements.
  • Work closely with project managers to track progress and provide updates on any changes to priorities or strategy.
  • Monitors the overall progress of the program, ensuring that clear and concise status reports are available to the steering board and that issues are escalated properly.

  • Leads the communication to all stakeholders. Includes stakeholders in programs definition and ongoing decisions to ensure that expectations and program deliverables are aligned.
  • Manages the risks to the programs successful outcome, ensuring that an effective risk assessment and risk mitigation plan(s) is/are in place for each project in the program and paying particular attention to the inter-dependencies between projects.
  • Proactively manages potential personnel and business issues.
  • Ensures that the quality of programs results is as agreed in the program plan. Agrees the technical and quality strategy with appropriate members of the steering board and ensures that regular quality reviews are established.
  • Contributes to a proper knowledge transfer and skills development within their professional community, including coaching and guiding other project managers.
