    http://www.finisar.com[Job Description]JOB PURPOSE:This position is for the IT PortfolioManagementOffice (PMO) function which is based in Hyderabad and reports into theDirector IT PMO. The PMO, helps in defining and maintaining the standards forprojectmanagement,project-related governance processes, andprovideguidance in the execution of ourprojects.ProjectManagerensures theprojectsare executed effectively and efficiently.KEY JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Program /ProjectManagement:
    • Manage theprojectteam to meet theprojectobjectives
    • Prepare estimates and detailedprojectplan for all phases of theproject.
    • Manage the day-to-dayprojectactivities and resources and, chairs theprojectmanagementteam meetings.
    • Defineprojectscope that aligns with business strategy, in collaboration withprojectstakeholders
    • Build an effectiveprojectmanagementplan to plan, monitor and control theprojectexecution
    • Identify Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies (RAIDs), and ensure mitigation plans are setup to control them
    • Develop and manage all aspects ofprojectengagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues.
    • Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables.
    • Ensure thatprojectsare proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards.
    • Create and support core PMO processes (Control documents, Reporting,ManagingRisks and Issues, ChangeManagement, Planning and DependencyManagement)
    Governance and Communication:
    • Contributes towards defining and Implementing Governance framework to have a structured approach to govern the PMO initiatives
    • Manage a central repository of theprojectartifacts like:projectscope, schedules etc.
    • Monitors and reports on the progress of allprojectactivities within theprojectincluding significant milestones and any conditions which would affectprojectcost or schedule
    • Develop and execute an efficient communication strategy for ensuring communication with all levels ofmanagementand working group, within and across cross-functional teams. Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication.
    Continuous Improvement:
    • Play a proactive role in the promotion ofprojectmanagementmethods and standards, implementation of goodprojectmanagementpractice, and the monitoring of certainprojects
    • Record the learnings and experience through appropriate review meetings with stakeholders
    Coaching / Mentorship:
    • Coach, mentor, motivate and superviseprojectand program team members.
    SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS (include Education, Skills & Experience):
    • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science / any with a minimum 10+ years of overall IT experience
    • Experience withmanagingmultiple ITProjects/ Programs concurrently in MES / INFRA / ERP/ CRM technologies, using agile methodologies is preferred
    • 6+ years experience in ITProject/ Programmanagement, PMO.
    • Domain knowledge on Manufacturing / Supply ChainManagementis preferred
    • Expertise in leading application developmentprojectsinvolving .NET/Oracle
    • Extensive understanding ofprojectand programmanagementprinciples, methods and techniques
    • Analytical and strong organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written ability
    • Proficiency with related software tools including but not limited to JIRA, MSProject, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Visio etc.
    • Certification in PMP / Prince2 / SCRUM Master is Desired.
