Job Description

    Big Basket, a leading online grocery delivery platform, is seeking a skilled Quality Executive to join our team in Hyderabad. As a Quality Executive specializing in the Food and Vegetable/Fruit category, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety for our customers.Responsibilities :Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks on food products, vegetables, and fruits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality specifications.Supplier Management: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to establish quality standards, conduct supplier audits, and address any quality issues promptly.Product Inspection: Perform thorough inspections of incoming food products, vegetables, and fruits to identify any defects, spoilage, or contamination.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality inspection reports, test results, and other relevant documentation. Ensure compliance with all documentation requirements.Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement in the supply chain to enhance quality control measures and optimize efficiency.Training: Provide training and guidance to warehouse staff and vendors on quality control procedures, hygiene practices, and food safety protocols.Risk Assessment: Assess potential risks related to food safety and quality and develop strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations, food safety standards, and best practices. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.Customer Feedback: Monitor customer feedback and complaints related to product quality. Take appropriate corrective actions to address any issues and prevent recurrence.Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and customer service, to maintain high-quality standards across the supply chain.Qualifications :1. Bachelors degree in Food Science, Agriculture, or related field.2. Proven experience in quality assurance, preferably in the food industry, with 4-6 years of relevant experience.3. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality control principles, and industry best practices.4. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify quality issues and implement effective solutions.5. Attention to detail and accuracy in quality inspections and documentation.6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.8. Certification in Food Safety (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) would be an advantage
