Job Description

As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
  • Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages
  • Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development of key functionality within the application
  • Carry out design reviews/code reviews at agreed points throughout the project life cycle
  • Work closely with the vendor development team to monitor the design/development undertaken by them
  • Hands on design and development of technical artifacts
  • Participate in technical reviews, define/Improve processes on configuration management, deployment and resiliency planning for the application.
Qualifications:
  • 6+ Years development experience in SAP Business Objects and 2+ years experience in Qlikview
  • Proven skills in Universe and WebI Report Development, Qlikview dashboards
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries and performing detailed data analysis
  • Experience in structured data mapping from multiple platforms/file structures
  • Ability to learn new tools and systems quickly
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and time management skills
  • Experience with D3 or another front-end JS data visualization library
  • Experienced with engaging technical architects, application architects, and development teams during the Design and Build phases to ensure that business requirements are being met
  • Capable of reviewing project deliverables for quality and delivery assurance
  • Experience with software development methodologies, Agile a plus
Preferred
  • Hands on experience in Oracle SQL
  • Knowledge of other BI tools like Tableau, Qliksense
  • Knowledge of ETL processes, job scheduling, event based reporting etc.
