Job Description

What you ll be doing :

As part of the Verizon consumer program and release management team, you ll play the role of a Release Train Engineer for the consumer organization programs. You ll be responsible for managing programs end-to-end by working with stakeholders to ensure program deliverables are successful.

You will also facilitate Agile Release Train processes and execution and will escalate impediments, manage risk, ensure value delivery, and drive continuous improvement. Other responsibilities associated with the position include:

  • End-to-end management of enterprise-level program.
  • Responsibility for program stakeholder management.
  • Risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Implementing data-driven insights to streamline release/program management.
  • Drawing inferences from project management metrics and provide recommendations to optimize for speed to IT delivery.
  • Enabling IT transformation by working across delivery and support functions (e.g., HR, Sourcing, Legal, Infrastructure, Security) to facilitate transformation of people and processes.
  • Enterprise-scaled agile framework implementation.
  • Establishing new processes and/or fine tuning existing processes in the areas of budgeting, scheduling, and resource management to maximize productivity and improve upon software delivery capabilities.
  • Project status reporting.
  • Creating roadmaps and action plans to achieve operational objectives.
  • Establishing strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information; identifying and evaluating trends and options; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes.

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Enterprise program .management experience.
  • Experience in managing Scrum/Agile enterprise scale.
  • Scrum/PMI certification
  • Experience in project status reporting and tracking.
  • Experience in executive-level presentations.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • SAFe Agile Certification.
  • Experience in business analyst role.
