The Business Insights Group combines analytical and subject matter expertise across the ERC and HR as a whole to identify trends and surface root cause, while providing process improvement insights and recommendations to decision makers. We are looking for an ERC Business Analyst to drive actionable insights through inventive analytical solutions.The ideal candidate will be excited about using data to understand business performance and influence and guide the direction of a business by conveying those recommendations to leadership. This role will be responsible for pulling, translating, and contextualizing data with the end-goal of generating new insights and solutions to help guide and inform the real-time reaction to external events driving contacts to the ERC. They must be an outside-the-box thinker, comfortable with large and disparate data sets, have an ability to work in an ever-changing environment, and have the agility to look around corners for alternate solutions.We re looking for someone with experience in and passion for: Defining and communicating findings and recommendations to senior management. Sourcing, maintaining, inspecting, and visualizing data. Prioritizing and managing multiple requests simultaneously. Advocating for - and working backwards from - customer needs. Work with engineering and the BI to enable the appropriate capture and storage of key data points., 1+ years of experience in financial/business analysis Experience with SQL or ETL Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights Bachelor s degree in quantitative field (engineering, economics, math, statistics) or at least 3 years of relevant work experience. 1+ years of experience as an analyst or engineer in the data/statistical/BI space. Working knowledge of SQL (T-SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, HiveQL, etc.) and experience analyzing complex data sets. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Quicksight, Microstrategy, or equivalent tools. Experience with Excel and VBA. Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases and complete root cause analyses. Experience applying statistical methods to solve business problems. Experience building and analyzing models using various statistical tools for forecasting and optimization. Proficient in statistical programming languages such as R, Stata. Experience working with large data sets in data warehouse environments.
