Do you like collaborating across teams to solve complex problems Do you enjoy solving large scale distributed content delivery challenges Join our SRE Team!Our team is responsible for monitoring and measuring the reliability of our products and platform.In collaboration with Engineering product teams, we focus on improving the performance and reliability of the products.Partner with the bestAs SRE II, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and improve the performance, availability, reliability of Akamais products in test network constellations. Youll define key performance indicators (KPIs), advance the state of monitoring, alerting and investigate complex performance issue.As a Site Reliability Engineer II, you will be responsible for:
• Deploying and maintaining the platform and software used internally by different QA and development groups.
• Collaborating with Developers and QA teams to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve complex problems for our stakeholders.
• Developing and implementing automated tools/pipelines to simplify and streamline frequently seen issues and configuration change requests
• Improving our system monitoring and analysis to speed error detection, remediation, and enhancing the performance and reliability.
• Leveraging skills in data analysis, network diagnostics, debugging tools to characterize performance, reliability issues and recommend improvements.
Do what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:
• Have 2-4 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Versed in one or more scripting languages (Python, Perl, Shell, Bash etc.) and familiarity with SQL Queries
• Have Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, Routing protocols like BGP
• Show fluency working in a UNIX/Linux computing environment
• Experience working with network monitoring tools, virtualization technologies(Docker), Jenkins, container orchestration like Kubernetes
• Have excellent communication skills, be able to articulate technical information in an easy to understand manner
