Job Description

  • Responsible for defining the UI Automation/Whitebox / SDET automation strategy and deliver on execution of the same.
  • As a senior assocaites you will be responsible for plan, Define, Design , develop and maintain the automation artifacts
  • Will be able to coach junior associates, and manage a small team of UI automation engineers SDETs.
  • Experience in test automation of trading platform, streaming applications, low latency applications is a big plus.
  • Experience on Selenium, QTP and related test execution tools and moder test mangement tools like QTest, JIRA etc.
  • Proven experience working of handling multiple projects within enterprise.
  • Well aware of Agile SDLC.
  • Very good stakeholder management skills is required to perform this role.

Required

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 10-14 Years experience in Automation /white box testing / Software development engineer in testing role.
  • Strong hands-on coding skills in Java, C#, .Net, Perl/Python or other programming languages.
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Design is a key requirement for this role.
  • Proven experience in designing Automation strategy mentoring both UI automation engineers, SDETs
  • Knowledge in automation tools like UFT/QTP, Selenium, Appium, JMeter, Cucumber etc
  • Experience in architecting non-UI automation solution and clearly define ROI between UI headless automation.
  • Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience working in all components of the cycle.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills along with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Self-motivated, quick learner and creative problem solver, organized, and responsible team player.
  • Experience of working AGILE + DevOpsprocess management methodology.
  • SDET should have knowledge about various test method corresponding tools like MS Test, NUnit, TestNG, Selenium WebDriver, etc.
  • SDET should have exposure to Behaviour Driven Development, cuccumber
  • Able to find bottlenecks and thresholds in existing code with the help of automation tools.
  • Strong Backend testing skills with ability to write SQL queries in SQL/Oracle databases.
  • SDET should able to perform Test Automation and setting up frameworks on multiple application platforms like Web, Mobile, and Desktop.

Nice to have:

  • Any QA certification to highlight specific Automation skillset is a definite plus
  • Knowledge of Financial transaction workflows like clearing, STP, Order management, FIX protocol
  • Experience on Selenium, QTP tools is a plus
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating system. Must be comfortable using standard UNIX utilities.
  • Experience in automation of messaging based application is a major plus.
