Job Description

Role Summary/Purpose:Senior Analyst, Marketing Analytics, portfolio teams is responsible for providing analytical insights and thought leadership to support business strategies of portfolio teams. This candidate will be responsible for effectively partnering with US counterparts in developing and executing analytical solutions to drive growth of aligned portfolio. The candidate should be able to support and interact with client teams, and work cross functionally with key stakeholders of the portfolio. The selected candidate will be part of Analytics Center of Excellence rolling up to Synchrony Financial India.Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute analytical solutions for marketing strategy which creates business impact
  • Proactively propose, initiate, execute and own strategic projects that supports business strategies
  • Maintain effective communication with business counterparts to understand project requirements
  • Proactively leverage expertise in the larger team to deliver impact for Business
  • Facilitate team meetings with US Portfolio analytics team
  • Responsible and committed to the last mile execution of projects.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or any other quantitative streams
  • 2 years of hands-on experience with SAS, SQL, UNIX and Excel
  • Strong written/oral communication skills
  • Good understanding of Retail Finance business and Retail Marketing function
  • Proven ability to deliver Analytical solutions for Business problems. Hands on Analytics experience is mandatory.
  • Ability to deliver multiple projects simultaneously

  • Employees who have completed 18 months in SYF and 12 months in current role are only eligible.
  • Existing Level 5,6 & 7 are eligible to apply, will be considered for Level 8 if selected
Desired Characteristics:
  • Knowledge of latest Analytics Data Visualization tools like Tableau & SAS VA.
  • Understanding of macro-economic conditions
  • Good knowledge of latest Analytical practices in the Industry.
  • Knowledge of statistical tools and techniques like Regression/CHAID/Clustering
  • Good to know knowledge - R, Python
